The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) invites the public to attend an open house on Transit-Oriented Development plans for the Regional Connector Little Tokyo/Arts District Station site on Thursday, October 17.
Metro will host two identical sessions that day, which will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet the four teams proposing to develop this site, learn about their project ideas, ask questions and provide feedback. Meeting information will be the same at both meetings.

All Metro meetings are held in ADA accessible facilities and are accessible by transit. Japanese and Korean translation will be provided. ADA accommodations and other translations are available by calling 213.922.2216 at least 72 hours in advance.
On Aug. 27, 2018, Metro issued a request for interest/qualifications to develop a Metro-owned property at the Little Tokyo/Arts District Regional Connector Station site at the corner of 1st Street and Central Avenue. The site was identified by Metro as a potential regional transportation hub and gateway to the culturally rich surrounding communities of Little Tokyo and the Arts District. However, the site is also smaller than typical development sites, which requires a creative and innovative approach to developing it.
Last June, four firms were notified that they were selected to respond to a full request for proposals. Metro anticipates completing evaluations and making a recommendation on a firm to develop the site in the next six months.
