Due to the wind-driven Getty fire in the Brentwood area, the following school closures have been announced for Monday, Oct. 28, 2019.
Classes were suspended Monday at Mount Saint Mary’s Chalon Campus in Brentwood as well as at the Doheny campus, which was not reported threatened by fire.
UPDATE: UCLA announced at 9:25 a.m. that it is canceling classes on Monday:
Update: UCLA is cancelling classes today. While #GettyFire poses no immediate threat to campus, members of our campus community live in evacuation areas or may be impacted by closures. Employees should report to work if they can arrive safely.

About that same time, Santa Monica College also announced that it would close for the day:

The Los Angeles Unified School District is closing schools in the fire area, the Santa Monica-Malibu school district is closing all schools, and many private schools are closing Monday:
